Bohemian Knotweed Fallopia japonica x sachalinensis = F. x bohemica

Often called Hybrid Knotweed this species is a cross breed of Japanese & Giant Knotweed. It was also used as an ornamental plant before the destructive & invasive nature of the plant became known. Currently, most bohemian knotweed are male & don’t produce seeds. However, recently seed bearing hybrids have appeared which could cause major disruption over the coming years. IWM have recently attended several conferences that have highlighted this threat as a matter of high concern and is already a huge problem in the United States.
