So the treatment season for Japanese Knotweed has finally come to a close and it’s been another hectic year at IWM. We are now gearing up for excavation & remediation projects working with new and old partners from Newcastle to Yeovil. We have also recently been accredited with a membership of the Property care association https://www.property-care.org/ after an in-depth audit of our business and practices. We can now proudly boast we are one of only 3 contractors in the Invasive Weed industry that are both INNSA & PCA accredited.
The national trust has been working hard to tackle the threat of Non-native invasive species and one of their most difficult recent projects have been at the beautiful Corrieshalloch Gorge, near Ullapool in Scotland. Treatments were administered using absails to access Japanese Knotweed & Rhododendron ponticum. More details can be found via this link
