Ecological services

Protecting biodiversity is important to us. That’s why we provide a range of ecological services on top of our weed removal and treatments.

If you’re unsure about what ecological services you might need, we’ll be happy to guide you.

Any of these surveys, plans, reports and assessments will generally apply to residential properties if you’re intending on putting in any planning applications.

Phase 1 habitat surveys

Your phase 1 habitat survey is the foundation to all other ecological surveys.

We’ll survey your plot and account for all the flora and fauna present before you put in any planning applications. If they aren’t already, it’s important that your local authority is aware of the wildlife that lives in the area you intend to build on.

Habitat management plans

We’ll provide you with a plan to either maintain or even increase the biodiversity in any given habitat.

Mitigation schemes

If you’re planning to build anywhere that has protected species living in, on or around it, you’ll usually need an ecological mitigation scheme. Under our schemes, we’ll set out ways to minimise the ecological impact of any proposal you get from other contractors.

Environmental impact assessments

Your EIA will outline any impact development could have on the person who makes the decision on whether your project can go ahead.

You should consider taking out an EIA during any planning permission applications.
