November 2021
Apologies we’ve not updated you for a while. We have had our busiest ever year and haven’t had much free time! Thankfully the economy seems to be getting back on track with development projects and an extremely strong housing market. All this results in more cases of invasive species being recorded and the need for Japanese Knotweed management plans being implemented to help clients move forward with their plans.
One of the many government-led schemes has been the kickstart scheme https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/kickstart-scheme and we took advantage of this to bring a young man into the business who has now been offered a full-time position with us! We have also grown our management team adding a regional manager to cover London and the southeast.
Despite our and our fellow contractors best efforts to help control and remove the spread of Japanese knotweed it continues to be an issue across the UK. A recent article called on the Welsh government to step in to force councils and landowners as homeowners are seeing property values deeply affected due to the presence of Japanese Knotweed.
