Knotweed, Boxing and Cancer Research
Half way through the season for us at IWM and we thought we would share what we’ve been up to. We have been working hard across the UK on Japanese Knotweed & Himalayan Balsam projects.
We get frequent calls from people wishing to sell their houses only for a survey to highlight the presence of Japanese Knotweed near the property and all hell breaks loose!
We often have people who are very distraught. Like anyone would once you hear about something new you “google it”.
And unfortunately the internet is littered with horror stories about houses being price at £0, people having breakdowns, contractors misinforming people as to the severity of the threat etc.
Once we manage to calm people down we then can talk about a way to tackle the problem, and as with many things in life the simplest solution is often the best.
So, we offer a treatment programme to deal with the Japanese Knotweed and back this up with an insurance backed guarantee.
So far we have a 100% success rate in helping to facilitate the house and all parties concerned are happy. This really makes us proud as we are not only helping people we are doing our bit to help restore local bio-diversity.
After spending as much of our spare time watching team GB at the Olympics as we can spare we are now going to suffer from #POSD. POSD is Post-Olympic Stress Disorder.
Watching these guys perform above and beyond what is expected of them is truly inspirational and can help anyone and everyone to become inspired. This year our Director Matt raised over £700 for cancer research for competing in UWCB https://www.ultrawhitecollarboxing.co.uk/
We are also hoping to inspire a new generation of workers and will look to recruit our first apprentice in the near future!
Next year Matt will be competing in the gruelling total warrior where he will be hoping to raise more money for A local Children’s hospice. If you would like to make a donation please email him matt@invasiveweedmanagement.co
