Himalayan Balsam is a seed based invasive species that heavily infests large areas of the UK and Is a particularly problem on river banks & railway embankments. Balsam grows at phenomenal rates and out-competes native species and is a major threat to bio-diversity. Noted for its attractive purple flowers and impressive seed burst.
